For years I have used a far simpler version of this monogram, but when thinking about making this monogram I knew that I had to put more into the design. 

Arguibly the most important part of a monogram logo is the inclusion of my initials "JR" this was done easily taking inspiratin from my original monogram

My initials arent very symetrical which posed the challenge of making the design symetrical, I decided to go with rotational symmetry which worked out well for me as I can line up the swoop of the "J" with the loop of the "R". This is the monogram design with the "R" flipped to better highlight the symmetry

By only using lines and curves in my monogram design it ensures that the design stays simple. This is shown here with the schematic design.
